Prorated Schedule – Glass

The cost of material for warranty repair or replacement of the insulated glass and all other components or parts of the patio door (excluding screens and vinyl frames) will be prorated on the following basis:

  1. Sprouse will assume 100% of the cost of material based on the company’s fixed selling price within the first 5 years from the date of manufacture.
  2. Sprouse will assume 50% of the cost of material based on the company’s fixed selling price during the 6th through 10th year from the date of manufacture.

Any amount due for prorated cost shall be paid by the Consumer upon authorization prior to warranty repair or replacement.

The prorated limited warranty applies only to units that do not exceed maximum size limitations per Sprouse price lists.

On some locations of patio doors, caulking is used to seal the patio door frames or trim packages against water or air infiltration. Caulking is not considered a part of the patio door, and therefore is not covered under this prorated limited warranty. Caulking is considered a maintenance responsibility of the Consumer.

This prorated limited warranty is valid only if patio doors manufactured by Sprouse are used, but shall be void if patio door accessory products not manufactured by Sprouse are installed that cause defects and /or damages to occur in the patio door.
